I can say with full confidence that my mother was the most compassionate and loving person I have ever met. She spent her whole life donating to charities and taught Sadie and I to do the same. Her passing has left me devastated, but I know that she would want me to keep my chin up and stay smiling.

Forest City -- Abigail Williams, 87, passed away peacefully Wednesday, October 16th, 2019 in her own home following a long battle with lung cancer.

She leaves her husband of 43 years, Robert Williams; her daughter, Sadie Williams; her son, Fredrick Williams; and many other relatives and close friends.

Born and raised in Asheville, the daughter of Lee and Pamela Stevens, Abigail did not leave her home town until 2017 when her decline in health pushed …
