My condolences to Abb's family. I remember him as a favorite uncle. They were all favorite uncles. Full of fun & foolery, but seriously sincere about family. Love to all the family!

I remember Uncle PO Boy all my life! Unc as he called himself in his later years. He was just like his father "Granpap". Both were talkers and storytellers. What did they do when they got together talk & tell stories and grandmother would get them straight, lovingly 😇  Miss him much as we all do. Glad he mad his peace with God! Love cousin Helen

I had the opportunity to speak with my Uncle Abb which all my siblings and cousins affectionately referred to as Uncle 'PO BOY' only a few weeks before he passed. He was always positive and upbeat. Loved to reminisce about family members who had passed on.
He was my late father James Davis' youngest brother.
He even new people who new my mother's late father Rev. J. R. Bell who would be over 140 years old now.
It always amazed me how much family history he knew.
Rest In Peace Uncle Po Boy...
He must have loved to fish when he came to our family picnic he brought fish for all! He loved to talk about family, life, and it seemed like when he did time was on the hold button.
In response to "What did Abb love to do?"
Denise is my middle name and uncle called me Neecie which I am his neice. It made me feel special because he was saying my name and who I was to him all at the same time and I felt it. Uncle made us all feel that uncle kind of love and did it in fun. We anticipated our uncles coming to our house and his voice was like a lions roar, I'm a Leo to July 29. He would ask us if we wanted to make a nickel right slick and as kids we would be all say yes, he would then say , grease it and then laugh at our expression and then give us all something. Himself and our dad and our other uncles looked a like especially uncle Sony Boy, we loved him right back and we felt his love. He loaded us up with family names and who they were. May our Dear uncle RIP as we honor him and we will keep you all in our prayers. Maria D. Campbell
