I'm in my third day of losing my step-father who I loved more than anything. Just seeing him waste away devastated me. I am trying to get though this but I cry myself to sleep and my eyes are sore. I am trying to see how you began feeling better. Any suggestions are helpful.

I'm so sorry to hear about your loss. I just lost my Mom a month. Same as you said, watched her go to waste. The cancer was literally eating from the outside in. Normally it's the other way around.

Just lost my mom 14 days ago. She had systematic scleraderma its an autoimmune disease . She died a year after diagnosis. It ravaged her body. Watching how sick she got was hard but I am very grateful I got to be present and as helpful as I could be. And as prepared as I was ,I wasn't prepared. I miss her so very much. The world is just different looking. I very heard it takes time. I just wish it would go by faster so then I wouldn't feel so broken

I am sorry for everyone’s loss I just lost my mom on Nov 5th from a 5yr battle with liver cancer and yes it’s hard to watch it turn them from the person you have known all your life to a shell of there former selves it’s only been a few days for me but what helps me not cry is the thought that she isn’t in any pain anymore she isn’t suffering anymore and she is always right there with me no matter what and I try to remember the good things an jokes an laughs we had and that is how I stay sane and keep my twin 13yr old girls from crying as well cause none of our parents would want us to cry they would wanna see us happy an never hurting at least I know my mom hated when I was sad or hurt so my best advise is never let there memories disappear and think about the fun and good times that bring a smile to your face or made them laugh out loud and it will get better but time is the only true thing that heals all
