I wrote this after my dad passed away. I find it comforting. My dad was unresponsive at the end, so this is my imagined last words.

"If I died today, we'd miss out on all the things we'd want to say.

I love you, and I'm alright.
Let that get you through the night.

Life goes on, and you will too.
Just know that I'll miss you.

It's not goodbye forever.
One day, we'll be together.

God is my strength, and He's yours too.
Remember that when you're feeling blue.

I've had a good life, but I'm ready to rest.
I want nothing more for you, then the best.

God bless you and keep you safe.
Know that I loved you and I love you still.
And in time you will heal.

I'll always be with you, no matter what you do.

Hugs and kisses from heaven above.
You will always have my love."

This helped me so much , I applied these words to my own experience with the loss of my mother as well as not being able to really say bye or have that closure. I just wanted to tell you that.. Christmas is coming so fast and it's only been 3 months since I lost my mother. I was scared I'd never be normal again or feel at ease and not cry it lease once a day and drain my body till I give up on life no work no cleaning of the house or myself just lay and become dazed

I'm sorry for your loss. This is my 2nd Christmas without my dad. He passed away in August of last year. It's been tough, just miss the old man like crazy! But, I try to think of him often, we talk about him and all the good memories. Now during this time of year we talk about past Christmas's and happy times. Last year was definitely the hardest, but it does get better. I pray that you will also have peace and comfort this Christmas. Good bless, and thank you for your response!

I lost my dad in 2005 right before Christmas. I have never been able to cope or to heal. I feel robbed of the time we could have had. he was only 60. there was so much more I looked forward to stil,l such as ...taking care of him when he got older, like everyone else gets to , there was so much advice I still had to ask from him. There was so much more I still needed to learn from him . I miss him every day.
now I do all I can to make it to where I believe he's at and that would be heaven I will see my daddy again. And that's what makes it a little bit easier is knowing that I will see him again
