It's okay if this never gets read or replied to. I am doing this for myself, rather than talking to myself. Well the first year anniversary of my oldest son's death is quickly approaching Feb. 4. I still hurt this same inside. I had him when I was a teenager. He grew to be a wonderful person. His name is in record books in his high school. Then he became a chef! He was just so smart and had to master whatever he set out to do. He was 27. Home on a day off from work, drinking with a relative also off work, she was making actually brownies, no not anything to do with weed. His toxicology showed only alcohol. He had quit drinking for about 6 months. Not sure why he started that day. I never knew he owned a gun. During pandemic he bought it. Later getting his own apartment. Unbeknownst to me he would handle to gun when he would drink. Holding it, obsevering it, pointing sometimes at random items or friends. Always without it being loaded. This day he believed it wasn't loaded.. the first thing the coroner said to me as I walked up to the scene was "The magazine was empty but there was 1 in the chamber" and because of clearly not a responsible gun owner he told the relative it's not loaded see and pointed it to his head. What in the actual hell? I don't understand how he would have made such a fatal mistake. There is no doubt alcohol played a huge part. He definitely didn't want to die. This was a terrible mistake, unfortunately the coroner ruled a suicide even though there was a witness literally sitting next to him, no "suicide note", he just paid his rent and put $700 towards the upcoming trip with family and friends to Japan. He had plans, no intention to end it. If you think your kids are smart enough to know better than point a gun in this way. Perhaps just to be safe, tell them! ALWAYS TREAT A GUN AS IF ITS LOADED. Please. Even the smartest might not know.
Final action cost my son his life

When I lost my oldest son I relied on the word of God for all hope for the future ; Joh 5:28 "Marvel not at this: for the hour cometh, in which all that are in the tombs shall hear his voice,[Job 3:13-18 " 13 For now should I have lain still and been quiet, I should have slept: then had I been at rest, 14 With kings and counsellors of the earth, which built desolate places for themselves; 15 Or with princes that had gold, who filled their houses with silver: 16 Or as an hidden untimely birth I had not been; as infants which never saw light. 17 There the wicked cease from troubling; and there the weary be at rest. 18 There the prisoners rest together; they hear not the voice of the oppressor."...]..Joh 5:29 .."And shall come forth; they that have done good, unto the resurrection of life; and they that have done ill, unto the resurrection of judgment.Act 24:15 .." having hope towards God, which they themselves also receive, that there is to be a resurrection both of just and unjust.".. A New and fair opportunity for life under conditions where the lovingkindness and wisdom and power of God are exerted through Jesus Christ on behalf of mankind , NOT against it ! Rev.2:17 .." And the Spirit and the bride say, Come. And let him that hears say, Come. And let him that is athirst come; he that will, let him take the water of life freely." Thus the Kingdom will begin on earth as in Heaven..Hope is a good word to keep in your heart. God remembers everyone !
