No one has ever told us about SUDEP (sudden unexpected death of epilepsy). She is 19 as of 3/6. She was diagnosed with epilepsy at age 16, we were told everything was under control and she will live a normal life. She was a freshman in college. She only had 3 seizures prior to the the one who took her life on 4/12. She died alone, I wasn’t there when I was supposed to. I promised her to be there for her all the time, and I broke that promise. No parent should have to go through this. Doctors should discuss the possibility of SUDEP, but they never do. I want to do something to keep her name alive. Hannah was so shy, and people didn’t know she existed that how reserved she was.
Lost my only first born, only daughter, Hannah to SUDEP

I miss my child every day and night I’m so sorry it never gets easy but sometimes someday just for a minute I see sunshine or beautiful rain and things almost feel fresh sending strength
