No one has ever told us about SUDEP (sudden unexpected death of epilepsy). She is 19 as of 3/6. She was diagnosed with epilepsy at age 16, we were told everything was under control and she will live a normal life. She was a freshman in college. She only had 3 seizures prior to the the one who took her life on 4/12. She died alone, I wasn’t there when I was supposed to. I promised her to be there for her all the time, and I broke that promise. No parent should have to go through this. Doctors should discuss the possibility of SUDEP, but they never do. I want to do something to keep her name alive. Hannah was so shy, and people didn’t know she existed that how reserved she was.
