One of my first interactions with Val was when he was my boss at Incipio. I was working on budgets in his office and once we agreed and locked it down, he made me have a shot of tequila with him to agree. It was about 10am but that was his process. Everyone Val met saw the energy and enthusiasm he radiated, he worked hard, played hard and will live on in the good times we had. My thoughts are with his family and friends at this time.

Val, my heart is broken. It’s going to take a while to accept the fact that you’re gone and that I won’t see your smile again. I’m going through our pictures together over the last 11 years, and every one of them is attached to a special memory that I plan to take with me forever. You should be proud of the numerous career successes and all the relationships you’ve made along the way, but I know that Patty and your boys are where your heart really was and will remain forever. Even though your time on this earth was cut short, I know they feel lucky to have had you for as long as they did. Your spirit will live on through them. I love you and will miss you, my dear friend!
