Brief as it's been, we feel blessed to know Steffano.  Quiet, humble, thoughtful, strong, and kind.  He and Christina have raised a beautiful soul in Malaya.  He lives on through her.  And we feel blessed that our daughter, Jackie, and Malaya found each other on that Chemka oasis, bringing our families together.  Jackie cherishes her friendship with Malaya, building memories that will last their lifetimes.  We will miss you, Steffano.
My condolences go out to Christina, Malaya and family. May God's eternal love surround Steffano. May God's love support all those who mourn.
Steffano, I am so sad to see …

Steffano, I am so sad to see you left us too soon. The Lord is with you now. I know we rarely speak nowadays but I am glad we're Facebook Friends and give you all the credit in the world for helping me by accepting me during my One Way To Jesus run.  I will remember that always. We will communicate later on. Take care for now.

Steffayes, Steffano, Steffamaybe, Steffano yesterday, today, and forever.

-Tony

Sending my deep condolences to Christina, Malaya, friends and family of Steff. Holding your family in prayer during this very difficult time. I am grateful for the ways Steff supported the Laudato Si Movement - both seen and unseen. I know many of us benefitted from his training this spring on Catholic Social Teaching. It was very helpful for me, and it was clear from his presentations what a brilliant human he was. I also greatly admire his work for racial justice. In the summer of 2020 as we explored how we might respond to the uprisings for racial justice in the US, and he offered such insightful suggestions. I am inspired by who Steff was in the world and the difference he made.
My deepest condolences to your family, Steffano. Though we have been separated by time and distance, your strength of spirit and faith has always remained with us. And will remain with us for eternity. I wish you eternal peace and the knowledge that your wife and daughter will be cared for until you are reunited in love and eternity. You will always be in our hearts and your family in our prayers.

It was a pleasure to work with Steffano at Fordham. We did not know each other well, but we both participated in a seminar on anti-racism and he was smart, and caring and that came through in his interactions. I am so sorry for the great loss that Steffano's friends and family feel.

Hello Christina, on behalf of the LSM-Africa, I send my condolences to you and your family. We are united in prayer, take courage and have faith in the Lord. May the soul of our brother Steffano Rest in Eternal Peace through the mercy of God, Amen.
Dear Christina:  I am very sorry about your loss.  My thoughts and prayers are with you and Malaya.  Steff was a fine colleague.  He will be greatly missed.
I was so sorry to hear about Steffano's passing. He was such a good person, a great friend, and deeply rooted in his faith. I met him though the St. Edwards One Way to Jesus young adult group during a retreat. He was a fantastic leader and helped me see scripture on a different way. We went on so many adventures to Art Basel, Yogurtland / Starbucks trips, or beach days. At birthday parties and dinners, I could count on him to be a fellow goofball where we would take ridiculous pictures. We would have so much fun and laugh way too much. When we all moved on from the group, he still kept in touch and was always eager to try my baked goods when I was experimenting with recipes. I always looked to him for advice and appreciated his feedback and never felt judged. I always think about the things he said. I was so happy to be able witness his marriage to Christina and watch Malaya grow and see him on his visits back to South Florida. I will always cherish the friendship we shared. Rest In Peace, Steff. You will be greatly missed.
