Jan 17, 2021 - was when Rohan first reached out to me based on my posts about training and climbing. 

Here is an extract of his email - 

"... I share similar aspirations as you do, while the exact goals might differ. I am an avid hiker and a experienced rock climber who is breaking into alpine climbing...Also, I am a new dad (with a 5 month old at home) and have limited time on my hands...." - Rohan

Soon we had a call and after a couple of weeks we had our first family trip on Feb 20, 2021 - Hollyburn Mountain Snowshoeing. Our families are from the same region in India and even though we were meeting for the first time, it felt like we have known each other for sometime. 

Rohan carried Agastya up the mountain in a baby carrier and I don't think he broke a sweat. On our way back, Rohan and I assisted a rescue of an injured hiker. As we hiked down, we talked about our training, climbing, goals, etc. and just hoped to do more trips with Rohan.
