On August 18, 2022, Rohan took his final breath, surrounded by his loved ones.

Rohan was born on Nov 16, 1983 to Doreen and Raghavendra Rao in Mumbai, India. His family meant more to him than anything else in the world. Whether it was exploring the mountains around Mumbai with his dad or celebrating Agastya's first birthday on a backcountry camping trip, his stories about family trips were always fascinating and inspiring. He was unendingly proud of Agastya and Prajakta and always tried his best to support them. Anyone who knew Rohan knew that he was the most loving son, brother, husband and father a family could ask for.

Rohan was also a talented climber and passionately talked about his dreams of doing some of the most technical climbs in the Canadian Rockies. He was a voracious reader and enjoyed reading about climbing, technology, economics, spirituality, etc. 

Rohan had a genuine curiosity to learn about people and was a great listener. He formed deep and meaningful relationships with his friends. Rohan lived a full and warm life, filled with kindness. He will be fondly remembered and sorely missed. Rohan is survived by his wife Prajakta and son Agastya.
