My dear Jackie, Shevy and Raj.
I know this moment will be challenging, painful and tough, but the love in the Williams family will continue to flourish as Robin would want.
I met Robin in 1990 in Italy. He has been a true friend since. I have one brother, but Robin was my second brother.
He would call me his likkle bredda and I looked up to him as my bigger brother.
Whenever I needed something, I would call on him and Jackie. They were there for me without hesitation. I would tell my friend that if he needed anything to please shout out.
Robin never needed anything.
He has the most beautiful and loving kids Shevy and Raj. Jackie, his lifelong best friend and partner loved Robin dearly.
I know this because I have known the family for a very long time.
We have had such wonderful times as friends playing soccer, travelling to Canada for the Caribbean carnival, going to a reggage gigs, and attending soccer matches!
I enjoyed watching my Ragga Muffin indian DJ spin the turntables. He was funny as hell! And I thought he was the real "Robin Williams" —the actor!
Robin was an absolute amazing person.
I will continue to love him and cherish our friendship and brotherhood.
I will also continue to be a part of the Williams family.
Robin, I am sorry I couldn't be there to bid you farewell. Know however, that I am there in spirit.
I will always love you my breddhrin.
As he would always call me "Crazy Legs".
May your soul rest in peace.
I love you.
Joel —AKA —Crazy Legs.
