Mike Gilbert and Bob. Lunch stop.
We are so sorry for your loss. We were unfortunately only able to meet Bob a few times, but he was such a card each time we met.
Love and kisses and hugs to you all.

Annabelle decided to stay home from school the day after her Grandpa Bob died and we looked at some photos. She picked out a few and made a short video.

I first met Bob when I joined the “Harrang Gang,” a group of guys who bicycled together, including Jim Harrang. Jim and Bob were the two oldest of that group. Now both Jim and Bob are gone and sorely missed.

Over the years we got together occasionally for breakfasts. And most rides included a stop for lunch. One of my first impressions of Bob was, “Wow. This guy is a born salesman!” He was always so positive, quick with a good story or joke. In short, an incredibly likable and knowledgeable guy. After a visit to any cafe Bob would know the name of every cute young server. And they his.

Due to his health problems Bob hasn’t been able to ride with us much for the past year or two. But he’d often drive out to Coburg to meet us for lunch. And be greeted by all the waitstaff!

I’ll miss Bob’s presence. He brought much joy to us!
