My sincere condolences go out the Ghali family. Riad, or Cousy as many people called him, was one of the kindest and most fun loving people I ever met. May he rest in peace.

I had the pleasure of meeting Riad (Cuzie) in Mallorca, Spain, alongside Alex and Nicholas DelCarlo. From the very beginning, I was struck by his presence—his aura, his strength, and the way he carried himself. It left a lasting impression on me.

I was fortunate to spend time with him again in both San Diego and Chicago, and each encounter only reinforced what an exceptional man he was. As I grew older, I came to understand not only the kind of person he was, but also the success he achieved in business—something that reflected his discipline and character.

I know how deeply Alex loved him, and my heart goes out to Alex and the entire family during this difficult time. I feel grateful to have known him, even in a small way, and to have shared in the presence of such a remarkable man. I am happy to contribute.

With sympathy and respect,

Chris Sohaey
