Thank you for visiting this page set up as a tribute to the memory of our dear colleague Olav Naess, who died on September 16th, 2023, in Houston, Texas.

Olav truly was a gentleman and rightly held in high regard throughout the industry and around the world.
Odfjell will miss Olav enormously …. We have flown our flag at half-mast at our headquarters in Bergen in honour of his memory and his contribution to our organization during his 36 years at Odfjell.

We have set up this page as a Book of Condolence where his many friends and colleagues can pay their respects and share their favourite memories.

There will be a Celebration of Life service here in Houston which we are currently in the process of planning for early November.

It is with profound sorrow that we announce the passing of Olav Henning Naess, who died suddenly on September 16th, in Houston, after a tragic accident.

Olav is survived by his wife, Kumi Kobayashi Naess, and our thoughts are with her as she comes to terms with the loss of her beloved husband.
