What were Mike's favorite ways to spend free time?

Mike had become a lover of life and enjoyed spending time with his family. Beginning in The Boy Scouts, he loved spending hours carefully constructing a campfire for all to enjoy and this love carried on throughout his life. He spent a countless amount of time preparing for a fire by splitting wood, gathering kindling, and setting up the perfect log cabin base at his family cabin. He would stoke a fire from mere ashes and loved showing off his roaring fire in just minutes. Mike was particularly proud of the fact that his daughter, Loretta, giggled for the first time at one of his campfires. Mike had also developed a love for stargazing at the campfire and was proud to have been able to enjoy the Perseid Meteor Shower in 2023 and 2024 at the lake. He was a keen spotter of satellites, and he dreamed of seeing the Northern Lights. Mike loved a good deal and had become a huge fan of going to garage and estate sales. He was never one to leave a sale without a new tool for his collection, and he loved being able to show his baby girl, Loretta, off to anyone that he could. Mike loved puzzles and we spent many nights cranking out 1,000+ piece masterpieces that he loved to frame and display, especially those for Loretta’s room.
