I am deeply saddened by the news of Michael’s passing and can feel how a very difficult time it must be for the family, especially Tessie. With loss of a loved one, their memories become treasure. Thank you so much for this treasure website of Michael and please accept my deepest condolences.

Michael was a great mentor to me, always approachable and also filled with words of wisdom that offered me life lessons. He is the only CEO in my life experience that demonstrated transparency, consistent communications and insisted in developing effective products. His regular meetings in Optimer kitchen provided us with updates (good or bad) and in those meetings he always emphasized to employees to be honest with their data. In general he was a very generous CEO, both with his time and with other things; his Christmas gift was weekend cruise for all employees and their families, tickets to cirque du soleil, etc.

Michael was loved by all of us and he will be cherished in our memories forever.
