I keep looking for you every morning, Mike, because we would always arrive at school at the same time (early!).  I miss your smiling face and your kind, helpful ways.  Thank you for always modeling what it means to be of service.  You will forever be in our hearts.
Mr. B was a bright light for the RLS community.  He was not only a teacher, but a great role-model for the students.  He was patient and kind, and always ready to lend a helping hand.  I will always remember him bumping his Tagalog music for afterschool pickup.  Our deepest Condolences to Mr. B's family and loved ones, he is gone too soon.

Thank you Mike for always being a beacon of light at R.L. Stevenson Elementary. Many fond memories of seeing you welcome the kids in the morning as we dropped them off in front of the school. I always looked forward to chatting with you about the news of the day and joking around with the kids. You will forever be in our hearts and prayers.
Mike was always there for you…
2014
Mike was always there for you when you needed anything. I am forever grateful for your kindness. You have made such a positive impact on our trad family. Thank you for always reminding us to just have fun. ❤️
Mr. Baroja was my favorite teacher in RLS. I still remember being in his class as i help clean the desk and put away the computers. I was hoping to see him or at least talk to him and tell him what I’ve achieved and how he was. I was too late. He is now in a better place though. My family sends regards to him and his family. All of the year 2022 kids, will miss you!
I will always remember Mr. B's warm smile and hearty welcome each morning when I dropped off my daughter for 5th grade at RLS. Though my time knowing him was brief, I could sense his genuine care and concern for each child every morning. Thank you to all his family, friends, and co-workers for sharing beautiful stories about how he has impacted their lives and so many others. We have all been so blessed. And his impact and memory will continue to be with us. My deepest condolences to his family and friends.

I’m so thankful to have worked with Mr.B at RLS. His genuine joy in teaching kids was apparent and surely incredibly encouraging to all educators. He goes above and beyond in serving the RLS community, and we all will dearly miss him.

Upon hearing that I will soon get baptized, Mr.B gifted me one of his favorite worship albums and expressed great excitement in a handwritten card alongside other coworkers. This is just one of the countless examples of how kind, thoughtful, and giving Mr.B was. God has gained an angel in heaven. Condolences and prayers to his loved ones.

2012, Cagayan de Oro, Misamis Oriental, Philippines
This was when you guys visited CDO together with Isha. That was such a wonderful time with everyone. I remember our raft capsizing because it was smaller than the other rafts and the rapids at the time were quite strong. Most of us almost got into an accident at the time because we capsized at a rocky part of the route. Other than that, it was really fun having you guys here. I was really hoping that we would get to do this again. Oh kuya Mike, even though we only get to see each other whenever you visit the Philippines, but I miss you and it sucks that I won't get to see you until the Lord decides for us to do so. "It's been a long day without you, Kuya Mike And I'll tell you all about it when I see you again We've come a long way from where we began Oh, I'll tell you all about it when I see you again When I see you again"
Zosy,
Your family is in our thoughts and prayers. I hope that God will console your hearts and minds and bless you with everlasting loving memories.

Mike was kind, humble, and light hearted.    He brought smiles to so many faces and his heart was always giving.   His impact will live on and on.
I am still so shocked and sad about this. I worked with Mike at Stevenson before I got my SpEd credential. He was always one of the most fun and loving people on campus and could make anyone's day better. My favorite memory was refereeing the 5th grade vs. staff basketball game with Mike. We were both supposed to referee at the same time, but neither of us could manage that as we just both HAD to get in there to play! I'm going to think of Mike every time I have hotpot and remember getting hotpot with him and that basketball game.

Night with the seniors! Kuya Mike continued to come to Pil events post graduation to support all his adings. I’m so grateful being his baby baby baby ading and having the chance to get to know him because he made such a large impact for me to see how important it is to be a part of a community and giving back to the community. He influenced me to apply for all my Pil leadership roles, volunteer at Galing Bata, and he’s always there to listen and give a huge hug screaming “ading!!” every chance I get to see him. Thank you kuya mike for everything and for continually reminding me how proud you are of me. Im forever grateful.

Mike will forever be one of my favorite people. The deal was sealed when after giving him the Boba order for me, Sandra and Joe, he kept our drink requests posted to his bulletin board for months after - why? He said, “just in case I ever get boba, I can get ya all’s one again.” He never stopped thinking about how to be a kind and caring friend. In 2020 I texted him one night (1 am-ish) with tech stress hoping he’d see it in the AM and help me. He called me 5 min later wanting to help and then showed up at my house at 7am before I had to teach and brought my computer back to life. Mike, thanks for being my friend for always reminding me there is pure good and decency in this world. I love that you played music and video games, drank coffee, ate sushi, laughed, helped anyone- all the time, worked hard and brought light to every foggy day we all shared with you in the Sunset. The mark you have left will continue to pour good into this world that often makes zero sense. Love you dear friend!!!!!
