I am so sadden to hear of Micheals passing. Although we didn’t have much contact after Northwood, I thought of him often.  All his loved ones are in my thoughts and prayer

Thank you Mr. B, Nathan said you are the most coolest teacher he have ever met.
His dedication to the school he worked at was impressive, especially when he lived so far away. He was often the first person I saw in the morning and the last person I saw in the evening. He even once went out of his way to drop off something at our house. I’m grateful to have talked to him one last time that evening. He left such a positive impact on so many and will be truly missed.
My deepest sympathy goes out to the Baroja family. Our hearts are saddened by the loss of an amazing man. Mr. B was a ray of sunshine and was loved by all in our school community. I know he left a lasting impact with our children and he will be missed. He will live in our hearts and memories forever.

I am very saddened to hear the news that kuya Mike passed away. I was lucky enough to be his ading through UC Berkeley's PAA kuya-ate-ading mentoring program. He made me feel welcomed, cared for, protected, and he was always there for me. He was kind, selfless, patient, a great mentor/teacher and person. I am shocked to hear about his passing. Condolences to the family and rest in peace kuya Mike.
Mike was like an older brother, a teacher, and a tutor. He was there when I was growing up and I see him as a family member. To see him go, makes my heart break.
I’ve worked with Mike for as long as he’s been at RLS and his light shone in every corner of that building. He was a role model on how to be a “real” man with sensitivities, ideas and tenderness. He made me a better teacher and honestly , a better person. The best way to honor him will be for me to try and just be more like Mike. To his family, friends and Jashley- I feel so lucky to have known your amazing man. Thank you for being a part of him that he shared so generously with all of us at RLS. Mike will always live in my heart now. Sending my deepest of condolences on this very sad, sad day. With love, Ed

I knew Mike though his girlfriend, Jashley, who is an incredibly happy soul on her own, but I could tell that being with Mike added to that happiness and their relationship has brought out even more positivity in Jashley. I’m glad I got to see you both last spring. I pray you’re at peace, Mike! You are now the guardian angel of your loving family, girlfriend, and friends. 🤍🤍🤍
