When thinking of Marc-his constant smiles, kind heart, and youthful spirit were always what came to mind. But most of all, it was how he took joy in the joy of others. Whether it was delicious foods, fun experiences, or his impressive collection of games, toys, and legos-he delighted in sharing his happiness and love with those around him, especially his nephews. It’s hard to imagine a world without his bright light in it.
Sending my deepest condolences and love to his family and everyone Marc has touched-and keeping him in my prayers.

I'm still coming to grips with this. Marc was my very first friend in the whole world. He was born about a week after I was, and we were friends literally since the time we were both babies and our parents would put us in a playpen together. We puzzled out the concept of friendship and how to be human beings together as little kids. As adults we sort of drifted in slightly different directions in life, but when we saw each other two or three times a year at family holidays/events it was like no time had passed. As his lifelong friend I always felt respected and never judged — even when I was a weirdo little kid/teen, because our personalities resonated with each other and we each always knew on some level where the other was coming from. Marc enjoyed life, and he enjoyed experiencing all of its facets with others whom he loved. He was... just an all-around decent and kind person, which is more than I can say for a lot of people I encounter in life. My heart goes out to his parents, his siblings, and to his wife. I don't really know what else to say, except that... we often say that we've "lost" someone who has passed away, or that they're "gone", but I know that for those of us who have known Marc and had him in our lives there will always be a part of him that we carry with us.
