Marc was my Brother-in-law. I say brother-in-law, but he was truly like my own brother through and through – his generosity to every member of our family was pure and genuine, his playfulness and zest for life touched so many people, and it has certainly left a mark on my heart.

Every time Marc and I would hang out together, my sister would comment that our personalities were similar in so many quirky and weird ways. I felt proud to be compared to him, especially the times when my sister would be at her wits end with the antics that were always mainly directed at her from both of us. Just like a big brother, I looked up to him and wanted to be like him – full of joy, generosity, and playfulness.

I remember giving my MOH speech at their wedding, and turning to tell him that he’d better take care of my sister! That’s exactly what he did, and no one could have done a better job of it. 

 I’m so grateful my sister found her person with Marc. They truly were made for each other, and my entire family is devastated at this loss.

To the Sanidad family, we’re so incredibly sorry for your loss, no parents should outlive their child, no siblings should lose their sibling… and we’re here for you in your grief. He was family to us as well, and we will miss him dearly and immeasurably.
