I was saddened to hear of Mahlet’s passing. Condolences to her family. She was such a sweet and kind person. She was always focused on the positive. We and the world have lost such an amazing, caring woman but heaven has gained another angel.

My beloved friend/ sister ( Mahi/ chuniye) … you are absolutely undefeated!! you will always have love in my heart . Mahi you have been my inspiration and thousands of souls in Bay Area and beyond. From Colucci restaurant to many social occasions( dinner, wedding, car wash for fundraising just to mention few) , Mahi you left me with memories I will cherish forever ! I am going to miss you immensely. Let me say it again YOU ARE UNDEFEATED
Tribute to Mahletye from ladies who knew her from her participation in Women empowering forums and master classes

Mahlet was one of the first people I got to know when I started working for DPH in 2009. We spent a full day  driving around SF delivering packets of proposals. I felt an immediate kinship with Mahlet. We bonded over stories about our lives and travel. She was warm and kind and funny and beautiful. I worked with Mahlet for years on countless RFPs and contracts. I admired her so deeply. She was a force in the contracts unit. She was knowledgeable, capable and supportive. And no matter how busy she was, she always greeted me with a warm smile.

I didn't know she was sick and still can't believe she passed. Like it can't be real. My condolences and heartfelt sympathies go out to her family and friends. It was an honor to know her and to work with her. She is deeply missed and will live forever in all our hearts.  - Marlo (DPH Family)

I meet Mahlet in May 2020 throuhg her friend Helinal virtually and stay connected like long time friend/sister. When she joined us with her mother to give testemony at Shalom Circles support group. Mahlet and her Mother ( sister Muluberhan) gave their testemony as topic. "Grace full jourey of mother and daugher." with Bible verse shared that day " By the grace of God I am what I am " 1 Corinthians 15:10.
Mahlet always encourage others and lift me up with text or phone call, we share so many encouraging words and songs. One time I share with her the song called "Way Maker" She text back and shared " I know I am already healed, This is my favorite last hymn!!

Light in the darkness.
Today I am gateful to testify that she light up the torch to the world to light in the darkness. She comfort so many , walk in vicory and show us God is bigger than Cancer.
I did join her Team 4:13 and my families and the group of shalom circles enjoy to hear from Mahlet; pray for her and get update from her mother. Mahlet share so many thankful text like " Awwww this is very enocuraging I feel so blessed how many folks are surroundng me in prayer . May His name be gorified forever alway rememember you. Once I did mention to her don't use facebook, so she always text me her update . How she get the time, she might had more than 24hrs.
When she share that call her picture Mandefrosh ; cause she is strong in Christ and better and no cancer nor any negative thoughts the devil tries to send her way can mess with her strong in christ Team 4:13.
She share taught from Mario Fernandez : " Rise avove the storm and you will find the sunshine " which explain Mahlet life .
Once I did mail flower care to Mahlet , then the card return back to me. Now the card is reminder to be thankful and learn gratitued each day when I see it daily. She send text and mail thank you card. What a blessed life and lesson for each of us.
RIP!!!

I don't have one particular story to share. I want to share what a blessing she was to live next to. We were neighbors in Oakland. She was so kind and had such a bright aura. We didn't share many interactions but one can understand, I hope, how important and significant it is to have such a lovely person as a neighbor. I will always feel blessed to have known her.

Mahlet ye, it’s very hard to grasp you left us but you I know you are with your beloved father. You have touched all of us in a very special way. May your beautiful soul Rest in Eternal Peace. ❤️🙏We. Will continue to honor you🙏
