Spending time with Kevin was like a day in the mountains. Always relaxing, never boring. Kevin valued his friends, and he was loyal to them. He had the ability to make you feel like you were more than a friend, more like family. And a testament to that is that I, my wife and children always viewed him and Penney that way, as family. We were such different people, with different perspectives, but I never left a conversation with Kevin thinking that I'd wasted my time, or that nothing was resolved. The credit for that goes to him. We talked about serious matters and trivial matters. But mostly, we just laughed. And when we talked about the theocratic schools we'd attended, I remember he'd always get a little misty-eyed, which would make me get a little misty-eyed. I'm looking forward to the time when I can start another conversation with him.

I was so sorry to hear about Kevin's passing. He was such a fantastic person. I met him years ago at an IKECA event and I was speaking on safety topics. I was at the podium setting up and he walked in with a beaming smile and his signature hat on. I said to myself, "Oh this guy is going to make this class a lot of fun and entertaining." Kevin and I became friends for that day on! I will never forget my Montana/Glacier Park buddy! God bless him and family!

Uhh…the boats popped!!! Went floating when I was super young with Kevin and the family. I don’t remember much of that trip other then Kevin popped the part of the boat that I was sitting in. Then to hear Kevin retell that story growing up with him got funnier each time even though a few more details got added each time. Love him gonna miss him so much

We remember so many good times with Kevin, Penney and family. Camping, concerts, card games, relaxing in their hot tub, dinners together and many more.
We remember when we were with the family in FS and stopped for ice cream. We would set up quarters and for every time one of the kids spilled we took a quarter away. Chris always lost. Kevin always cheered the kids on but it was no help for Chris. Granted he was only about 4-5 at the time.
Kevin was always a gentleman no matter the occasion. He loved to dress up and go out for a nice dinner. We recall one in Babb, MT. You wouldn’t think of that as a place that has fine dining but Kevin “knew this place” that was just great.
We will miss him a lot and look forward to seeing him again in the future in the paradise that God has promised.

The last time I was with Kevin and family, he bought all the children at that gathering ice cream treats from the neighborhood ice cream truck. At the last minute I ran up to Kevin and asked if I could get an ice cream. He said “Of course “ & we hurried over to catch the truck before he left! Kevin was always so nice, kind, thoughtful, generous, happy & fun to be with. I will really miss him. Lyn

There was never a dull moment with Kevin. Madison and I will miss the entertainment, friendship and love. Kevin will always have a big place in our hearts. Madison loved (mostly) all of the advice he was willing to share with her. It has been an honor for us to be able to take this trip through life together. We will deeply miss him.

My deepest sympathies to Kevin’s family & friends. His passion for his profession & the betterment of it was inspiring! He always had a smile on his face and was always so warm & welcoming. May we all find comfort in the memories we shared together. Although I haven’t talked to him in several years, it’s like no time has passed as he made you feel that special. May God rest his beautiful soul!

Dear Penny and family. Our deepest sympathy. Words cannot express my sadness in receiving this news. I will always remember Kevin as a "Class A" man . He always had a smile on his face that would light up the room. His positive attitude and presence at the IKECA meetings will be sorely missed by all. His dedication and passion for helping others will never be forgotten.

Every time I see a Stetson go wandering by, I always get excited thinking it's Dad going by. Honestly, he was almost unrecognizable without the hat.

Kevin was recently really excited about a book he had read as a kid and he had just found it. one night when all of us(his family)where sitting around the fire. Kevin read a portion from that book. He read with such enthusiasm. We really got into that story. When he finished we wanted him to continue reading. I can't wait for Kevin to finish reading that book to us soon.
Kevin is a rare person. Kevin has made a lasting impression on me in my mind and on my heart.I've always thought of Kevin like a second father. Kevin was someone I could rely on. He give me all the support I needed. Kevin gave me confidence. Kevin would give me wonderful spiritual advice. I will miss Kevin deeply. He always made me laugh and smile; especially when I was feeling down.
