So sad and sorry for your loss 😢 I went to MLHS with Kelly and we lived on FAFB at the same time. My brothers and I hung out with Penny, Toby, Kelly and Jody a lot in our teens. Though Kelly was tiny in stature, she had the biggest personality! Both of us being redheads, we used to get up to a lot of mischief during lunch breaks, as you can imagine! We used to go to Al's Diner at the time. One time, realising we'd be late back to school, Kelly managed somehow to convince some garbage men to give us a ride back to school in their garbage truck! Kelly always had a cheeky grin and a twinkle in her eye and could convince anyone to agree with her masterplans. Such a feisty and caring friend to have. I'll always have fond memories of those days and I'm very sad to know that she's passed. Sending my heartfelt condolences to Penny and Toby and all of Kelly's children, grandchildren, extended family & friends. Rest in peace Kelly and give Jody and your Dad love and hugs from the Milne family. We'll never forget you ❤️

In the summer of '77, the Glenn P. Hill kids were visiting us in Missoula.  We were in the garage when Kelly found my Dad's old Forest Service backpack.  She threw that 70 pound pack on her 4 foot, 10 inch back and announced that we were going on an adventure.  We walked up the dirt road, to the grocery store where we bought chips and pop and bologna.  Then we came back to the house, where she proceeded to make a "hobo" stove out of an old coffee can.  And we ate fried bologna, and stayed up all night talking and telling dirty jokes.

After I graduated from High School, I got a call from Kelly, inviting me to come for a visit in Germany.  I was supposed to start at the University of Montana in a few months, but I knew that I wasn't ready for that yet.  So, I got a passport and then made my family drive me all the way up to Calgary so that I could spend a few months in Europe.  Kelly helped me take a "gap year" before it was even cool.

For every big move that I've made in my life (Alaska, Southeast Asia), I think that I have Kelly to thank.  Her sense of adventure was inspiring.  She was fearless and funny.  Wise, and kind.  She was an amazing woman, and I will miss her.
