Dear James, family, and friends of Katie,

I am so shocked and saddened to hear of Katie’s passing. My heart goes out to you all, especially her family. I had the privilege of meeting Katie at Yale architecture school, where her intelligence, humility, and elegance immediately struck me. She was like a modern-day Jackie O, always looking effortlessly stylish and poised, and was someone I looked up to and admired from the start.

I have fond memories of the many dinners we had with Siri, Kevin, Charlie , and James. Our time together in New Haven was full of laughter, shared experiences, and unforgettable moments that I will always cherish.

Even after graduation, I continued to admire Katie's work, especially her dedication to empowering women in architecture and the building trades. It was inspiring to see her turn her passion into meaningful action, making a lasting impact on countless lives.

My deepest condolences to you all during this difficult time. May Katie's legacy continue to inspire us all to strive for excellence and compassion. She will be deeply missed.
