It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Karen Lorane Stark on December 14, 2022, at the age of 81. Karen was born in Ellwood City, Pennsylvania, the daughter of Raymond and Gladys Johnston and sister of Raymond "Beau" Johnston. Karen was a loving mother to her three children, Bryan, Chad, and Samantha Stark, as well as her niece Jasmine Karen Johnston. Karen is pre-deceased by her first and second husbands William Keith Stark and Cornelius Scollard.

A beloved sister, aunt, and friend to many, Karen enjoyed bird watching, and floral design, and was an avid golfer, claiming the Women's Championship at the Connoquenessing Country Club seven times.

Karen attended Carnegie Mellon University and  Chamberlayne College. She worked for Ogilvy & Mather Advertising in San Francisco for several years before a successful career as a real estate agent in Bel Air, Maryland and Palm Harbor, Florida.

Having a particular fondness for animals, she was a long-term supporter of the American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (ASPCA). Karen touched the hearts of all who knew her with her kind and compassionate spirit.
