Karen and I were very best friends since the day we met in 7th grade. We spent all our time together. I could probably write a book about our escapades, well most of them 😂. Distance separated us over the years but kept in touch. I remember when Bryan and Chad were burn and I met you Damantha when you lived in Churchill. Coloring Easter eggs if memory serves me well. Knowing her as I did she would be so proud of the memorial service you have planned. It’s just perfect. I’m very sorry for your loss. She was an extraordinary lady and loved you three deeply.
Karen was a kind, gentle and a wonderful soul. Although she's missed by all of us, but we feel so grateful that we got to know her. She'll be in our hearts forever.

For more than a decade Mom proudly displayed this letter from a highly satisfied customer who she went above and beyond to find her dream home.

Such sad news.  We would visit BEAU and Karen when in Florida.   Great times, great dinners and great memories. Our sympathy  to the family.

I am very grateful that I got to spend the last five years really getting to know Karen.  From taking the scenic route back from Shoprite to family dinner most Sundays, she was a big part of my day-to-day life.  Reflecting on this time together, it is her curiosity and tenacity that stands out the most.  A couple of years ago, we took her to a cabin in Western Maryland (she was such a good sport on that raft).  To give her something to do, I bought her a needlepoint kit and a Downtown Abbey coloring book - I don't think she looked at them once.  Instead, what fascinated her most was a rusty wrench she found lying in the gravel drive.  Always one to help, she was determined to figure out where it came from and to reunite it with their owner.  She searched the neighborhood for clues, flagging down workmen who were building a new home, asking if they knew where it belonged.  I'm not sure what ever actually happened with that wrench but I have no doubt that Karen's inquisitive and determined spirit has a home in all our hearts.

She would come and visit my mom’s house often to pet/play and feed our dogs. She was the sweetest person.

I remember the first time that I met her. I worked from home at my mother’s house and she rang the doorbell. My mom called me because she saw her on the ring camera. She politely asked could she come in and see my dog.

I was so nervous because we were in lockdown because of Covid-19 but I let her in anyway because I just felt like maybe being around animals made her feel happy. I would ask her questions because I thought she was lost and she’d mention her family to me. I wanted to walk her home but she wouldn’t let me! She wanted to be independent, so I watched her walk home from my window.

She would tell me how she wanted a dog so bad and how she missed having pets but couldn’t care for one on her own. I told her she could come by any time to see Biggie and Lola. I would always wait for her to ring the doorbell… one time she rang when we had family over and they thought she was just so sweet

It was always so nice to see her and see what coat she would wear. My favorite was the leopard coat!

It was such a pleasure having her as a neighbor. I’ll never forget her visits. She will be missed.
