We are heartbroken for the loss of your  beloved son and brother. Our sincere condolences to the Miklos family during this difficult time and know that we hold you all in our prayers.

Chris and Mary Mumford

Joe,

It has been quite a few years since we shared the gridiron. You were an exceptional teammate and even better guy who lit up the room when you walked in. You will be missed by your family and friends brother. May you rest in peace. May your family know your Rebel football family will always have a place for them ❤️🙏🏼

I am so sad to hear about Joe’s passing. Joe was an amazing person. He had a heart of gold. He was a great teammate and I was honored to have played with him.
I'm so sorry for your loss. What an amazing young man. I was honored to be able to play with Joe at UNLV and be around him during my time at UNLV. I was so saddened by the news one of our teammates that called and told me.  Sending love and positive vibes from my family to yours.
Long live Joe!! Condolences to the family and all that love him ✊🏿💜✊🏿 #Rebel4life

I met Joe in the spring of 20…
I met Joe in the spring of 2021 at our co-working space in Encinitas, and our friendship began over a simple cup of coffee. Over the next two years, it grew into a bond deeper and more caring than I could have ever imagined. Joe taught me so much—about myself, the meaning of friendship and relationships, and most importantly, about what it means to value someone unconditionally. He was my best friend and my biggest supporter. Joe was always there, whether it was listening to my long audio messages, crying on the floor with me and Bowie over a sad movie, or reminding me to silence that 'little voice' and hit the gym. He encouraged me to be myself, wear what I wanted (even if it was a fanny pack!), navigate my job challenges, and ultimately, make the move back to New York. I took this photo on the day I left San Diego. I will forever be grateful for Joe's wisdom and pure joy he shared with me. His impact on my life is something I will carry in my heart always.
Joe had a genuineness and gentleness that flowed through every part of him. It was a joy working with him at GitLab and it was a privilege to be his friend. You will be very missed mate.
