My sincerest condolences and deepest sympathy. I have known Johan for 20+ years and have got to know him as a loyal and kind colleague in various business trips, meetings and events we shared. Johan was driving things with consequence, but always good for an inspiring discussion, a good joke and quality time with colleagues.Rest in peace Johan and strength to the family! You will be greatly missed!

Dear Johan,

You will be forever missed in the hearts of the people that lived by your side, or shared any experiences with you. From my part, I had the great pleasure to meet you when I moved to ABB Sweden in 2014, and until my last day at ABB we worked quite closely together. I remember especially two facts. The first time we met, you were managing CT in Abu Dhabi, and you right of the bat invited me: "You should come to visit us in Abu Dhabi office to talk about your stuff!". The second fact: you were the very first person to call me when you found out that I was coming back to ABB, in the beginning of 2022 (I never found out how you came to know that fact, but anyways... :-).

It was a big shock to hear the news of you passing away, but I have faith that you are going to a better place! And may the memories of you fill up the hearts of your beloved family, and may your girls always know what a fantastic father they have! You will always be in their hearts, that's for sure!

Take care my friend!

Johan will remain with us who knew him and worked closely with him! He was full with energy and enthusiasm, he was always asking the right questions and the thought question and always with a human touch. Simply unforgettable and always present! My thoughts and my prayers to his wife and children and other family members and friends.
I was extremely saddened when I heard the news of Johan's passing. He was an outstanding colleague who none of us will forget as his enthusiasm, dedication and care will always be with us. I would like to offer my sympathy to Johan's family at this incredibly difficult time. My thoughts are with his wife and children.
It was shocking to hear the sudden demise of Johan. He was good friend and very good person I had interacted with. We had spend good time during my last visit in Baden, he did take time off on Sunday to meet and walk around Baden. Sweet memories I shall always remember. Condolences and RIP, Johan!

Johan, Johan - so many memories, happenings, stories, experiences... Where to start? Where to stop?

When I started in the MarCom team in Vasteras early 2001 (with special focus on Asia) , Johan was working as Product Specialist - just about to move to ABB in Singapore to support the fast growing Asian countries. Since then we worked together for some 20 years and I visited Johan and Herlina everywhere they've lived  - from Singapore, China, UAE to Switzerland.

Going through old photos I realize that Johan is the person that I have worked the longest and closest with in the whole ABB Group. I find Johan in literally hundreds of my photos from near and far, where we arranged seminars, customer events, product launches, trade shows.

I never met anyone more loyal to ABB than Johan, he gave his all to the company. And he never shied away if work/help was needed, he was a real team player regardless of title or position...

At work, Johan was very open, social and liked by his colleagues, yet he was a true family man with high integrity around himself, Herlina and the girls. Both Johan and Herlina liked to travel, and I remember that for a while he had a goal of visiting more than 100 countries...he'd already ticked of North Korea and other exotic places.

What I liked most with Johan, was that he was such a down-to-earth, humble person with absolutely no need or desire to brag or show off. OK, he liked to tell when he had found or bought a new gadget, a drone or an app he liked, but that's all :-) He was just being himself, a genuine, nice person.

And  what I miss the most is just these small, everyday interactions we had, witnessing documents, chit-chatting about ski trips, trekking routes, holiday ideas, company news, car parks - and lately the sadness (both of us) losing our parents.

I have still not come to terms with the fact that he has passed - when I walk to the office I still look at the traffic to meet his grey Mercedes after dropping the girls at school in the mornings. In the weekends, I expect to see him on the small kick-bike, balancing a big bag of groceries from shopping in Coop.......

As the saying in Swedish goes: "En människa kan ta så liten plats på jorden, men lämna ett så stort tomrum efter sig."  That's how I will remember Johan.

RIP Johan, and deepest sympathies to Herlina, Kiona and Fiomena.

My sincere condolences to family and friends. Still hard to believe that he is no more and sense of loss is huge. Johan was integral part of many meetings and he will be sorely missed.  May his wife and children get the strength to bear the loss.

I still don't fully understand what just happened. Since I joined the global ABB Process Automation community 10+ years ago, Johan's name was always there and popped up in many discussions and activities. He was one of the most well-known faces of Control Technologies for me and his absence is still quite surreal.

Finally, we became colleagues in PCP-PPM back in 2019 and by coincidence he was my closest colleague location-wise (in Switzerland). Unfortunately, due to Covid and home-office we met much too seldom in person and overall it was only a handful of times. I wish I had have the chance to interact much more in person and also get to know Johan and his family much better!

My deepest and most sincere condolences to his wife and children and the rest of his family! With my kids being in the exact same age I can only imagine what such a loss means.

I do remember the lunch very well we held in Dättwil, discussing intensively about automation solutions and strategic moves in our development plans.Johan, thank you for your dedication for our company, thank you for the time we spent.

My sincere condolences to the family.I am wishing you all Piece, Faith and Trust.

My deepest condolences, and sorry for your great loss. Had known and worked with Johan for many years since when working in ABB Beijing, and travelled together. Will always remember him as being  very kind and smart.
