RIP Joel. You were one of the kindest souls I’ve ever met.
My sincere condolences to family and friends of Joel. Met Joel in the early 60’s. Have many fond memories of Joel as one of my many DeMolay Brothers.

  • I’m so sorry to read of Joel’s passing.  He was a great friend in college and at  Xerox.  Easy to know, easy to like, easy to respect—-always with a  smile with a “Hey how are you”,  and he meant it.    My best to his family in this very challenging time.

Lindsey Marks
In my dads own words he wrote:

After Banning I attended Long Beach State where I played baseball and discovered Fraternity life. In spite of the distractions I graduated in 1969. I married my College sweetheart right after graduation. We both worked at Disneyland during and after school. She as a ticket seller and I was an Operator on the Jungle Cruise and Pirates. She & I had two children Allison & Lindsey, but unfortunately divorced in 1977. I was working for Xerox at the time in Century City and stayed single until 1980. I married a woman I knew from College but never dated. She & I ran into each other at the Market while we were shopping with kids in tow. She & I lasted 20 years raised our children together and had a pretty good life. About the same time I left Xerox to start my own business. I started a copier dealership in Irvine which I sold in 1995. I then started a sales training company and spent three years traveling and working with several companies from Alaska to Houston. I was doing some work with Xerox in Chicago when they asked me to return to take over the Sales Agencies in Long Beach and the South Bay. Which I did in 1998. In 2003 I once again married. I married a wonderful woman I have known and worked with for almost 20 years, Diane. Diane & I own and work at the Xerox Sales Agency together in our office in Long Beach. We run it with my daughter Lindsey. I work some and play as much golf as I can get away with. All of my children & step children have given me 12 grand kids so far. They are working on more.

I look forward to seeing everyone at the next reunion.

This was one of my dads favorite pictures of he and I. We were in Hawaii for vacation and we went for a walk. Someone took this photo of us. We are in exact sync with each other in our steps, arms, posture….
