So sorry to hear about this. I was one of the kids in the Neiborhood. I remember Mr Turner playing hooky in the summer and taking us kids to Mt Ranier. Great times. My condolences the  Turner family
Thinking of JC, Jennifer and Jamie today and hoping that the celebration of Jody’s life goes well. Thinking of you all.

I first met Jody when she started working at GEC over 20 years ago. We often went out to lunch together and she was always willing to share wisdom and advice. She helped me make wise decisions financially and also was a great tax resource. She was a good mentor to me as I learned how to supervise the office staff. I remember how important her family was to her and this was very evident when she, I and another friend went to Maui for a week. Having spent so much time in Hawaii with family, Jody was not enjoying it as much, so she left after a few days. Jody was a very giving and generous person and a good friend and I miss her.
Jody and I were dorm mates at the UW and lived together for a summer near the UW campus. She was a rock during a tumultuous year for me and a dear friend for life.
Jody contributed in a huge way to why I became an accountant at UW.  She convinced me to join the accounting club (yes it’s a real thing!) and to interview at Deloitte where she worked and the  rest is history - still doing accounting stuff today thanks to her shove in that direction!  My heart goes out to her entire family as we all mourn her passing - an amazing lady who I was fortunate to have known for this brief time we all have her together.
My condolences to Jody's family. I first met Jody when she and JC bought their 1st Ballard house, a big time fixer upper and was amazed by her energy and frugality. It was the foundation for her family, you can always make something better.

Jamie, Jennifer and JC...I just received the news.  We left for Idaho 13 years ago and one of the things I miss most is the treasured friendships of the North Beach Book Club.  Your mom's infectious laugh and love of a good mystery remain with me.  In her memory, I will re-read "The Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Pie Society", her favorite of the books she selected.  And I will never, ever forget her Scottish Shortbread.  I am so terribly sorry for your loss...I still can't believe it.

Cheers, Jody...until we meet again.  Elizabeth Evans

My most sincere condolences to Jody's family. I first met Jody while working at GEC. As a young, female engineer at the time, I really admired Jody's candor and ability to command respect.  She understood complex problems so well and made them accessible for the rest of us. She was sharp, direct and so incredibly quick-witted -- but most of all unfailingly kind. I can say with confidence that I'm a much better woman for having known her.
My sincere condolences. So sad to hear of Jody’s passing. I spent little over a year in the Seattle office during 2010-11 and, being new to the States and all things Seattle, I recall Jody very quickly became my go-to person.  She was supportive, always willing to help, and there wasn't much she couldn't guide me on; a walking font of knowledge you might say. We lost touch after I left Seattle but I will always be grateful to Jody for making life that little bit easier for this 'newby', and for occasionally challenging me. Thank you Jody! May you rest in peace.

I am so saddened to hear of Jody’s passing today. I first met Jody when I moved to Seattle in 2008, she was smart opinionated direct honest and open. The epitome of the strong independant woman. A fierce defender of family friends and colleagues and never afraid to share her opinion.  We met as colleagues and soon became friends, sadly our paths have not crossed so much in recent years. The world is a duller place from her passing.

I am so sorry to hear about Jody. I first met your family about 12 years ago when visiting Kauai with David Walker.  We all met up for dinner. We always enjoyed our visits and reached out any time when in Seattle. We were about to reach out again as we will be in Seattle later this month. JC my heart goes out to you and the girls.  Jody certainly fought long and hard to stay with you all. 💕🙏
