This isn't a specific memory, but when I think of Joanne, I remember how she would light up whenever kids were around. Especially Luc and Ben, of course. She was funny, she was warm, she loved company and a good conversation. We're all so sad she's gone.
Aunt Joanne was such a loving, caring, inspiring and strong presence in my life. She was a creative and talented artist who was quick to share her wonderful wisdom and insightful advice. I'll dearly miss her warm embrace and kindness, being around her was to be in a safe, accepting, unconditional loving space. Yet she was also a powerful presence whom I greatly respected for her uniqueness, talent, intelligence and independence. She made myself and our wonderful family whole and her positive impact on my life will always be with me.  All my love, always and forever. Paul W. Williams III

Some of my fondest memories when I was a little kid was heading to the beach with Aunt Joanne. She always seemed to outshine the sun with her spirit.

Something Silly! She introduced me to onion loaf! If you don’t know what it is, you haven’t lived! lol
