I first met Janie when our children went to school together at SH elementary. She was such a joy to be with. Her radiant smile, beauty and personality was magnetic . She was an amazing woman who I will always look up to, on Earth and in Heaven. Rest in Peace sweet Janie 💖

When I was first starting to discover who I was, I made a decision to dye my hair purple. Impulsive and weird, I know. But Janie was so eager to volunteer to be the one to help me embark on that journey of self-discovery, and she was the first person to ever touch my hair and dye it. It was the start of a very transformative time in my life, and she was so accepting and eager to help me along with that process. She would give me makeup on Christmas knowing that I loved to experiment, and she was so thoughtful and caring towards me during my high school years. I don’t even know if she knew how much that meant to me growing up, or if she even knew I was struggling. But that’s okay. She was a beautiful human being, and her presence will be sorely missed.
RIP Janie
