There are so many photos of Aunt Irene that you know she was well loved and that she loved others. During the past few years we have exchanged timeless photos and film as we’d digitized our collection. What a joy to remember those moments and to ask questions about the past. I especially remember all the times visiting the Holmdel home with all the aunties, uncles, cousins and Grandma present. Aunt Irene would treat all of us like royalty. Just a lot of great memories. We will miss her very much.Â

I always thought my sister, Irene, was the best sister anyone could have had. As siblings growing up, through developmental years and finally, to adult and senior years, she always looked after her little brother. When we were kids, she made sure no one picked on me. When we were young adults, she made sure I was well provided for and exhibited concern only a caring sister could. She provided things that I didn't have, often at her own sacrifice. By the time we were mature adults, she always provided that extra touch of love, interest and concern for not only me, but my family as well. As seniors, we stayed in touch mostly by electronic means. Her love, empathy, concern and helpfulness were apparent throughout our many email, Facetime and Zoom sessions. How lucky was I to be the little brother of Irene. Now, I will have to live the rest of my life without her. But I know when my life comes to an end, Irene will be there to look after her little brother for the rest of eternity.

My heart is still breaking over the sudden passing of Mrs. Hsu. My many memories of he will forever be treasured. I have so much more I'd love to say - but to Mr. Hsu, Eugene, Olivia, Brian and all those who loved her, my heart surrounds you all with love.
