Personal note from Tracy, George's Mum.

We lost George suddenly on 12th November aged 18. He passed in his sleep after being sick two days before and we now know that George died of a heart attack. We are waiting an investigation via an inquest. When we have more information we can share on this we will do.

We are utterly devestated and heartbroken. George had a large online presence with his friends and we would love to hear from you all.

He was known as Cheekybananaboy, Georgethehorse , Georgie and Georgia and possibly others that as his parents we will never know xxx

George was quirky, creative with a cheeky sense of humour and fun which we miss so very much.

Please feel free to contribute and share and celebrate George with us.

We are still waiting on an inquest. This may be postponed from its original date due to the investigation but we are fighting to get a thorough investigation into the exact cause of the heart attack that took George so cruelly from us. When we know more we will update this site.

We are also waiting on feedback on the bench proposal in John Leigh Park from the council.
We have a lovely Japanese themed garden at the Birches Memorial Park for George and when it is finished we will post a video here.

06/02/22 - Update on the Charity donations for Young Minds in George's memory:
Thank you so much for all your very kind and generous donations in memory of George who we lost on 12th November. It was overwhelming to see such an outpouring of support and we are most grateful to everyone.

The young minds charity has received £4300 in George's memory and I received this recent email of thanks from the charity which I wanted to share with everyone:

Dear Tracy

Thank you so much for your donations in memory of George.

It’s hard to watch young people struggling. And it’s even harder when it feels like there’s no one at all who can help. Since the pandemic, millions more young people are struggling to cope with their feelings.

When young people don’t have access to the support they need, when they need it, their mental health often gets worse, with some reaching crisis point. More families need our support. And far too many young lives have been lost.

That is why we are on hand to help. More young people need our help more than ever, which means we need you more than ever.

Your support helps us to be there for families when they need it most.

To see how vital your donations are towards our work, check out our latest Impact Report.

Impact Report 2020-21

We really appreciate all your support. It means everything to us. And it means everything to young people.

We are looking forward to seeing the impact we can achieve with your support in 2022.

With best wishes,

Obituary

We knew he was going to be a good sleeper as he slept from 1am till 9am within a few weeks of being born. He slept for England but the problem was getting him to sleep in the first place as he had boundless energy and never succumbed early to sleeping.

He loved a good lie-in even on Christmas Day he was never an early riser and Tracy and Simon would be up for a …
