This February 25th, Gabe's PNW-based family and friends are gathering at the Madrona Arms just a few short blocks from where Gabe and his family lived in the early 70s. Join Bonnie and Millard and a few dozen close friends to celebrate Gabe's life and wrap each other up with loving hugs, stories and memory.

Our event is scheduled from 4-7pm but staying longer is always an option.

Aloha Friends and Family of Gabe,

We’d like to invite you to Maui’s Celebration of Life for Gabriel Mott. As you all know, Gabe was a lover of Maui, his home for 10 creative years. His Maui ohana wants to honor him and his profound influence on his community by organizing his colorful Celebration of Life on the island.

We’ve secured Olowalu Camp, an oceanfront venue on the westside of the island for a two night camp out from April 29th - May 1st, 2023. The official ceremony will be Sunday, April 30th, 2023 from 12pm-6pm. Please come for any or all of the celebration. On Sunday for the official celebration, we'll have interactive art, food and libations, music, ocean fun, and love.

If you’d like to join the Sunday celebration and/or reserve an onsite accommodation for the weekend, please read and complete the RSVP form below as soon as possible, as accommodations are limited. To stay off site, Lahaina is the closest town to rent a hotel room or Airbnb.

We'd like to start raising funds for the venue, art supplies, food and libations, and musical entertainment for the event. Any extra donations that exceed our goal, will go towards future memorials for Gabe in other parts of the world. Please join us at the Omni Commons in Oakland on June 24th, to celebrate the life of our beloved Gabe. We will celebrate his art, laugh, dance, and sweat our prayers for him at a party that he would surely approve of.

DONATE: We found a perfect venue, but we still need staff, DJ(s), decor, a bar, and all the things that make a party dope AF. Rather than sell tickets, we're asking for donations. Our collective support will help us realize this vision. Plus, any funds we don't use will be donated to The City Eats on Gabe's behalf.

COLLABORATE: If you’ve been to any of Gabe’s events, you know what a gifted collaborator and creative co-conspirator he is. The Omni Commons is fabulous, and there’s ample space for installations. CURATE: We will begin with a Gabe Mott art show, lining the walls of the venue. If you have any of Gabe’s art, PLEASE BRING IT. We want the place overflowing with Gabe.
