Elyse Dominca Parcell, better known as "Tiger Pussy" was known for her flowing golden locks, radiant smile, and pure passion for exploring the mountains. As a sixth generation Silverton and Durango native, her love for this region took the forms of skiing backcountry lines, climbing splitter cracks, and rafting white waters. 

Born to Kathy and Bob Parcell in Durango, Colorado, Her parents were influential in Elyse's love for her Southwest Colorado roots. Throughout her life, they nurtured her pursuit of the outdoors by joining her on adventures across the San Juan region, supporting all her career endeavors, and always encouraging her to be her authentic self. 

In her short time on this Earth, she was a raft guide on some of the most remarkable American rivers, a heli ski guide in the most radical terrains of Alaska, a hot shot on some of the most gnarly fires across the country, and a ski patroller at our local beloved Telluride Ski Resort. It’s unarguable that Elyse lived life to the fullest by pursuing careers and friendships that aligned with her devotion to the outdoors.

She lovingly earned the title, "Tiger Pussy," for the fierce climbing routes that she's crushed, all while wearing a pink mullet and tiger spandex. She was known for her witty sense of humor and for always pushing the envelope by being an exceptional woman in careers that were mainly dominated by men.

She is survived by all of the communities that she served, including Telluride, Silverton, Moab, and Durango. As well as her Mother, Father, Aunt Jill, Uncle Rob, Aunt Debbie and Uncle Mike, Aunt Kathy, Aunt Tammy, Cousins Taylor, Jamie, Maggie, Rose, Erin, Tim and Eric, Soul Sister Elizabeth Schwab, the Telluride Ski Patrol, and countless friends across Southwest Colorado and beyond.
