Background
This Memorial will not only serve as a place to provide financial support to the Parcell family, but also to receive updates on her upcoming Celebration of Life and share favorite memories of our beloved Elyse. To contribute, you’ll create an account which will also subscribe you to any updates. Bob and Kathy have asked friends and families to share photos and memories here so that they may have a place to visit and remember their daughter.
The Accident Details:
On November 9th, Elyse was in a severe car accident between Telluride and Sawpit. Upon arriving to the scene, the EMS team (many who knew Elyse personally) didn’t hesitate to intubate her and get her on a flight to Saint Mary’s Hospital in Grand Junction. Upon arrival to the ICU, they induced a coma to reduce the brain swelling. In those first few days, there was hope for a full recovery, however, after reviewing a CAT scan and assessing the damage with her medical team on November 13th, it was determined that the damage was too severe and Elyse would need to be taken off of life support. On November 15th, she was surrounded by friends and family as we shared our favorite stories, held her hand, and spent her final moments together as she passed on.
Donations will help with all expenses including significant medical deductibles, afterlife expenses, a Celebration of Life event and anything that may arise during this transition.
