Over the weekend, we laid my Aunt, Eloise Paulette Head to rest. She is the sister right above my mom. My entire childhood was centered (outside of 79th street) on 125th & Michigan, at her house. She would take me and pick me up from school. When I was sick, it was to her house I went. When my mom had surgery, I had an extended stay at her home. No one can make a sour cream pound cake, like her. To this day, I feel her watchful eye if I attempt to take a sip of beverage before finishing my meal. 😂 Rainy days were all the better in her basement. The wisdom at her kitchen table nourishes me still. She created that same warmth in the cradle room at Zion Temple. She loved me unconditionally. I am standing on her prayers. She embodied, “God can do anything!” I will miss her saying, “Hi love” but I believe I will see her again. Rest on “Aunt Awis.”

Sending my condolences to Shaun, Mielka, and the rest of the family. When Eloise moved back to Arkansas she became a special part of my family life alone with Altoria . We looked forward to them coming over to visit with our Mother every Wednesday.The three of them enjoyed singing and reading the Bible together. While they were visiting with mother I was able to go to the grocery store, drug store, and so forth.
Eloise and our Mother were first cousins and they had a Special bond alone with all of her siblings.
Shaun you and Mielka are in our prayers.
