Where to even begin……
I knew immediately upon meeting my future father in law how special he was. The kindest eyes. The best laugh and smile. He made everyone around him feel his happiness and joy.
Our Lulu dog got the benefit of being his first Grandbaby girl. The great care, love, and attention he gave to her showed us all exactly how he would be as Lolo.
Watching him love on his girls will forever be imprinted in all of our hearts and we are so grateful for that. Though we wish there could have been more time we will continue to hold him close to us through our girls, with cooking and enjoying great food, giving kindness, laughter and so much more.

Dear Auntie Luz, Eric, and Errol,
I am deeply saddened to hear about the passing of Uncle Elmo. Losing someone so close to your heart is never easy, and I want to express my sincerest condolences to you during this difficult time.
Uncle Elmo was such a kind and supportive person who touched the lives of so many people, including my mom and dad who shared many fond memories with him. He was always there to lend a helping hand and provide guidance whenever needed. He will truly be missed.

I had the opportunity to know Elmo through Luz. If memory serves me right I first met Elmo when I went to Los Angeles. Luz and Elmo picked me up at the airport. I stayed in their home for a couple of days. They hosted a mini reunion for NLTV Class 1966. Elmo displayed his culinary expertise with a sumptuous luncheon highlighted it by the signature La Moda Pansit of Laoag. It was wonderful for him driving us to the popular tourist spots of LA. The second time I saw them and Luz was when they came to Hawaii for Ilocos Sur High School Class 1962 mini reunion . I was not familiar where the hosts lived in spite of using the GPS. Elmo was just so patient quietly waiting until Luz and I found the place. The third time was when Luz and Elmo joined a Hawaiian Cruise. The boat anchored in Honolulu. I went to see them. One of our topics of conversation was about cars. I told them I had a very basic car. Elmo interjected:” A BWU!” I replied ‘No. it is a Nissan Versa. A BWU must be very expensive. “ Elmo smiled: “ BWU is Bayad Walang Utang!” “ Wow” I thought at that moment: The Ilocano way of prudence on financial management must still be very much alive and well among the three of us. Rest in Peace Elmo!!!
