My dear friend Elmo, you were a loving and caring man, devoted husband, and father to your family. Your heart was so warm and kind to everyone you have met and came across. Your generosity and selflessness is what made you stand-out among us, your friends. Even when you did not have it in you, you were willing to go the extra mile to make sure all your friends are happy. I recall all our travels, to all corners of the world, you always say your prayers at the beginning, daily, and end of every trip. You were a man of God in every way; who obeys His commandment with joy, who does not live for the things in life but for the things of eternity. You were the trip photographer and maker of memorial videos. You put narration to the places we visited, included a variety of photos, elevated the effects with text, and chose the background music we all would love. It was all about your intelligence and artistic expertise. We are from Maryland and used to visit Elmo and family in Hollywood. Elmo was one-of-a-kind-friend, with a huge beaming smile and easy-going manner, always ready to laugh, but he was passionate about his cooking. I’ll never be as good as him at making and cooking “Ilocano Longaniza;” it’s so damn delicious. Elmo was a talented cook who had an innate sense of how to make an exemplary dish. He chose quality over quantity every time. My friend will live on forever in me with his gentle heart. I will miss him dearly. I pray to our compassionate God, to lift the family and friends of Elmo. Touch them with your almighty hand and help them to find healing in you. May they seek you daily for comfort and support. Fill their hearts with the assurance that Elmo is in your presence. Rest in peace my friend.
