I want to express my sympathy to the LaMon family and their friends. Dana was a caring, generous, and supportive Toastmaster. On October 14, 2010, as the first female African American president, I welcomed Dana to the Westchester Advanced Club. Dana showed up and showed out. Although, the historical event was marred by inclement weather, our club's attendance surpassed previous records, which shocked me. Most significantly, "we" collaborated to ensure Dana Lamon's visit was both successful and memorable. His visit gave me confidence in my abilities as a leader and communicator. He will be missed!

Later, we shared a meal and he entertained us with stories and jokes. He will be missed not only for his communication skills that he shared, but his attitude of loving life and the people he met.
