Making the moment meaningful, That was Dana, reminding me how life in its way is beautiful Where moments, it can be hurtful, thoughtful and blissful, And yet it makes life colorful, Where you’ve gone Dana it’s fruitful and peaceful, In your presence, and now your absence, please know that you have made my moments with you meaningful. Rest in peace and you will be sorely missed.

My favorite memories of Dana:

We  met  in 1971 at Yale University - I was a freshman, Dana a sophomore.  I was lucky to get a' bursary' job as a reader for Dana and we became fast friends. What amazed me most was his ability to retain the information in the math books I read for him and to do the computations - often in his head!

We stayed in touch over the years and even took our  kids to Disneyworld together around 1988 - He and Jacqui had Dana and Winter and my husband and I had Tim & Jennifer.

Whenever I called him or he called me, I would greet him with my nickname for him ---- "Oh wretched man!"   

I will truly miss that wretched man
