After summiting Cathedral Pea…
1986, Budd Lake at the base of Cathedral Peak, Yosemite
After summiting Cathedral Peak we camped out at Budd Lake at the base of the mountain. We got this crazy idea to slide down this ice field on our sleeping pads into the lake (yes, it was cold). We walked out on the ice in bare feet and slid down about 100 yards before plunging into the water.
