Hi Steve & Josie and family & friends of Chris - what a beautiful, funny and heartfelt remembrance of Chris on November 5th! Her imprint and presence was felt everywhere that day, and I also wanted to note and thank all the work put in by so many people to create such a memorable event.
Sorry that it's taken a couple of weeks to share these, but here are the photos I took that day. What struck me as I went through these photos is how many smiles are on everyone's faces. There were so many funny stories and loving memories of Chris that were shared that day.

Lots of love to all of Chris' family - especially Steve & Josie!

My condolences to Josie and Steve and everyone who loved Chris. I first met Chris when Josie came into our class at the Novato Charter School. Chris ALWAYS had a smile on her face and a warm greeting for everyone when she dropped Josie off for school. She was always "on a mission", whether it was to get to work that day or help with costumes for the school play. Her smile made everyone around her smile. And I will never forget her description of how she found cute, "adult" shoes for her small feet. Chris brought sunshine with her wherever she went. I felt it.

I first heard about Chris from my boyfriend at the time, who was on a cross country road trip with Steve. Joe was frustrated when Steve "abandoned" him several times during the trip to spend phone time with an interloper named CHRIS. It wasn't until after Joe was back home and able to talk through what happened that we realized, this Chris person must be very important to Steve for him to have broken Bro Code. Boy, was she ever, and the rest is history. Chris couldn't have been more warm and welcoming to Joe and me into their new life together. Joe had the great honor of being Steve's best man at their wedding, as well as Chris and Steve hosting us for that week in Hawaii. Chris was one in a million and Steve was lucky/wise enough to recognize that and helped to create the wonderful life they shared together. We love you Steve and are so grateful you shared Chris and her magical ways with us. Chris is missed every day and we'll never forget her. Big love, Leslie and Joe

Chris was a Super Shining Star. My heart goes out to Josie and Steve and I'm sorry I'll be unable to attend the Celebration of Life.

I am so sorry to hear of Chris passing, my condolences to the family. Chris was always very positive and joyful. And I always enjoyed some interactions I had with Chris in MAPLE and in school events. It was such a pleasure getting to know Chris and she will be missed.
