Boyd Irvin Booze, son of Irvin and Clara (Houpt) Booze was born on May 3, 1940 in Ogallala, Nebraska. His schooling took place in many small towns in Nebraska, as his father worked building roads for Peter Kiewit Construction. The family always returned to North Platte, NE for the winter months where Boyd and his only sibling, Carol, attended schools. Boyd graduated from North Platte High School in 1958. He excelled in math and sciences. …
