In Loving Memory of Zlatko Kosović
It is with a heavy heart that I say goodbye to a dear friend, colleague, and an exceptional human being — Zlatko Kosović.
Zlatko was not just a good friend to me for over 15 years — he was a true force of positivity and energy, someone whose presence could light up any room. Always smiling, always grounded, and always ready with a kind word or thoughtful insight, Zlatko was the kind of person you were simply lucky to have in your life.
As a fellow Croatian, I can proudly say he represented everything good about our people — dignity, warmth, pride, and humility. He was a living example of how people should treat one another, and how to carry yourself with integrity and respect. He had a deep love for the sea, something that ran in his veins, especially coming from the beautiful city of Dubrovnik. That love showed not just in his words, but in the way he lived.
Zlatko was deeply respected in his professional life — a proud member of the Carnival family — where he left a lasting impact on everyone he worked with. His knowledge, wisdom, and willingness to share his vast experience made him a mentor to many. Whether you were new or seasoned, working beside him meant you were learning, growing, and always welcomed with genuine kindness.
When I spoke to him in our Croatian language, I felt the pride and heart of a man who loved his roots deeply — and yet he always treated every nationality, every person, with the same level of respect and open-heartedness. Zlatko was not only a wonderful colleague but truly a family figure for many of us — a man of character, of generosity, and of great humanity.
To Zlatko’s family, please accept my deepest condolences. Your loss is shared by all of us who knew and loved him. May you find strength in knowing how much he meant to so many people, and how deeply his memory will live on in our hearts.
Rest in peace, dear friend. You will be missed.
