Zlatko’s Birthday — with Barbara, Cristina Benedek and Gregory

Very saddened to hear about your passing, Zlatko.

I will deeply miss your big, warm smile and your always-ready-for-anything attitude.

Sending healing prayers and comfort to your loved ones during this incredibly difficult time.

In Loving Memory of Zlatko Kosović

It is with a heavy heart that I say goodbye to a dear friend, colleague, and an exceptional human being — Zlatko Kosović.

Zlatko was not just a good friend to me for over 15 years — he was a true force of positivity and energy, someone whose presence could light up any room. Always smiling, always grounded, and always ready with a kind word or thoughtful insight, Zlatko was the kind of person you were simply lucky to have in your life.

As a fellow Croatian, I can proudly say he represented everything good about our people — dignity, warmth, pride, and humility. He was a living example of how people should treat one another, and how to carry yourself with integrity and respect. He had a deep love for the sea, something that ran in his veins, especially coming from the beautiful city of Dubrovnik. That love showed not just in his words, but in the way he lived.

Zlatko was deeply respected in his professional life — a proud member of the Carnival family — where he left a lasting impact on everyone he worked with. His knowledge, wisdom, and willingness to share his vast experience made him a mentor to many. Whether you were new or seasoned, working beside him meant you were learning, growing, and always welcomed with genuine kindness.

When I spoke to him in our Croatian language, I felt the pride and heart of a man who loved his roots deeply — and yet he always treated every nationality, every person, with the same level of respect and open-heartedness. Zlatko was not only a wonderful colleague but truly a family figure for many of us — a man of character, of generosity, and of great humanity.

To Zlatko’s family, please accept my deepest condolences. Your loss is shared by all of us who knew and loved him. May you find strength in knowing how much he meant to so many people, and how deeply his memory will live on in our hearts.

Rest in peace, dear friend. You will be missed.

Zlatko always had a smile. I had the pleasure to work on many dry docks when he was their Technical Director and his guidance was invaluable.

We would always share  pictures of our dogs, as we shared that are dogs are part of our families. RIP Zlatko, my condolences to his family. His memories will always live in our hearts.

Zlatko, thank you for being part of my daily life in the office. I will miss our routine of starting the day with your usual "good morning" between 06:50 and 07:10 said loudly and with your kind way. Then it was time for our coffee, machine on dk.6, when the office and the city were still getting up, it was the best time to have a conversation, and there, I discovered the beautiful person that you were. Sometimes the machine wasn't working, and we were heading down to other floors to find the solution and to have our coffee as our early morning ritual. I will miss your "see you tomorrow morning at seven o'clock sharp!", I will miss everything about you. RIP Zlatko

Zlatko was very dear person and made me welcome to his lovely family.

I am forever thankful to Zlatko for all the beautiful memories that he brought in my life. Zlatko might not sit in his chair but he will always be there.

With my love and prayers to Zlatko’s dear family. My toughts are with you. Tonkica

Deepest condolence to family.

Big man, cruise industry legend, mentor and man who made us proud.

Etvin Pajic

I was deeply saddened to hear about the passing of Zlatko Kosović. Please accept my heartfelt condolences during this difficult time.

Zlatko was not only an exceptional engineer, but also a remarkable leader whose wisdom and integrity left a lasting impact on everyone who had the privilege of working with him. His depth of knowledge and calm strength under pressure consistently elevated the standards of our work and inspired those around him.

Personally, I owe much of my own growth as a leader to Zlatko’s influence. His guidance over the years—whether through direct advice or simply by example—shaped my approach to leadership in ways I continue to carry with me every day. He was generous with his insights and always willing to lend a thoughtful perspective when it was most needed.

Zlatko’s presence will be sorely missed, but his legacy will live on in the many lives he touched, both professionally and personally.

Please accept my deepest condolences and extend them to his wife, children, and siblings. My thoughts are with all of you.

With sympathy,

Captain Ante Čavala

I was deeply saddened to hear of Zlatko’s passing, and I want to extend my heartfelt condolences to you during this incredibly difficult time.

I had the honor and privilege of working closely with Zlatko, and he was truly one of the kindest, most generous people I’ve known. He was a true gentleman, always ready to offer his help, share his wisdom, and support those around him. More than just a colleague, he was a mentor and a friend.

I will always cherish the conversations we shared during our morning coffee breaks — moments that brought not only clarity to our work but also warmth and connection on a personal level. Zlatko’s presence brought calm, respect, and a quiet strength that left a lasting impression on everyone who had the chance to know him.

My thoughts and heartfelt condolences go out to your family during this difficult time.
