Although I only knew Zach a short period of time.  He will always hold a special place in my heart.  I am eternally grateful for his love and support of my daughter.  My condolences to Cammie and his family.  May god comfort you and help you find peace during this time.. 🙏🏻💕

Cammie and family,

I cannot express how sorry I am am to hear about Zach. I remember him so well from Thomas's class in elementary school. I always thought he was so cute and so sweet. When he was in his early 20s I saw him and Michael Minick at the parking lot of Starbucks. I stopped to say hi and  Michael said to him, "Remember her? This is Thomas's mom!" And Zach said emphatically, "I remember you! " and he had a huge smile and gave me a big hug.  I was so surprised and flattered by that. He was a great kid, and he will me missed.

I still can’t believe he’s not here with us anymore.. I didn’t know Zach well, but the few times we got to hang out with him in Bali left a lasting mark on me. After all, not many from our group would grant a 12-year-old kid’s request to join her on a ride with a 141-foot drop, especially after already drinking the night. I don’t have a copy from their camera, but I clipped Zach’s footage from our angle and made a short video..

Being with him on that high ride showed that we’re all 12-year-olds in adult bodies—kinda scared, kinda excited, just enjoying life. That few-minute ride with Sam, Zach, and Chloe is one of the highlights of my trip. It was so funny; he was making jokes about shitting himself and missing Uluwatu. Fortunately, that didn’t happen, and it was another chance to get to know him in a different setting. A day spent beach hopping, having a sunset dinner, and playing Wolf’s Game all night is another one for the books!

But of course, no doubt the best moment was witnessing Mitchell and Shermaine’s engagement together. We were all behind doors in secret, trying to hear Mitchell’s speech or Shermaine saying “yes” that we forgot to film our reactions. It’s a good thing Zach remembered. He recorded that moment for them, probably to show his brother later how genuinely happy everyone around them was to be a part of that surprise.

In a way, I feel that I related to him a lot on that trip. As he was a little brother hanging out with Mitchell’s friend group, I was a little sister trying to learn about Dayne’s life in Bali. I’m sure he felt as grateful to be there as I did, to meet new friends from all over the world and to get to know his brother in a different light. I didn’t know Zach well, but in those few occasions, I learned that he was brave, fun, and funny, and he lived his life the best he could. That’s how I’ll remember him every time I reminisce about that trip in Bali.

Zach’s passing is a stark reminder of how fleeting life can be and how important it is to cherish the moments we share with those around us. I’ll carry the memories of our time together in Bali with me, and I hope that in sharing them, we can all find some comfort. Rest in peace, Zach 🕊️🙏🏻🤍

I have met Zach a few times. Once, we went into the big “G - swing” in Bali. We were both a bit scared, but an 11 year old Hungarian girl talked us into it because she really wanted to go. We went into a small cabin with Zach, Melord and the girl. During the 30 meter fall, people in the cabin were screaming like little girls; and it wasnt the 11-year old girl… I remember how we enjoyed it after a while and you kept on singing “Push it to the limit”.

Another happy memory with Zach is the day of the proposal. On the big day, we were all hiding into a room while Mitchell was proposing to Shermaine. The excitement and happiness in the room was tangible. After Shermaine said yes, we all came out to celebrate with them. It was a beautiful sunset over the rice field. Everyone was so happy and Zach looked proud of his brother. It was a very fulfilling moment, that I will never forget.

The third happy memory was our trip in Uluwatu. We went to El Kabron, a beach club on a cliff overlooking the ocean. It was a beautiful sunset in Bali; we were eating, drinking and talking with a close group of friends. Zach was sitting at the head of the table with Mitchell and Chris; everyone was bantering and having fun. Later that night we went back to the shared villa we had, played games (werewolves), drank beers and partied. Mitchell ended up showing his dance moves on the table. It was an amazing weekend and a memory I hold dear.

I will remember Zach as a fun, pure guy and his bond with Mitchell as a beautiful example of brotherhood. He will be missed.

My deepest sympathy.

Zach's time in Bali was a time of laughter and connection amidst life's challenges.

He embraced the island's beauty and found solace in its simple pleasures. His spirit was bright, his curiosity boundless, and his presence brought warmth to those around him.

We shared moments of joy and laughing over meals.

Bali held a special place in his heart, and he often spoke of the peace he found here. Though my memories was cut short with him, the memories we created will forever be cherished.

Zach's light shone brightly, even in the darkest of times, and his memory will continue to inspire us all.

He will be dearly missed, but the warmth of his spirit will never be forgotten.

Rest in love, Zach!

I can't say that I knew Zach well, but the times I spent with him in Bali were definitely memorable ones. When I first met him in Uluwatu, I was surprised to hear he was Michell's brother, but although appearing quite different at first, their brotherly bond was undeniable.

I'll remember Zach as a very laid-back and easy going guy. He seemed to make friends with people very quickly and looked like he was very at home in Bali despite his short time there. Chatting with him and Mitchell over drinks and seafood at Jimbaran beach, learning about his passion for rap, and extremely loud games of werewolves at 1am in the villa are the memories that I'll keep with me.

Hearing this news about someone you know, even for just a short time, always hits hard. I can't imagine the pain Mitchell and his family are feeling, but I hope they can hold on to these memories and good times that they've had with Zach and know that he will continue to live on through them.

Rest in peace man 🍻

I never knew Zach well, but I remember him as Mitchell's laid-back yet funny brother. When I first met him and Mitchell introduced him as his brother, I didn't see the resemblance at first. But later, I noticed they shared the same smile. I recall a few moments like when we went to Mexicola to party and he complimented my dance moves, saying they were cool. I also remember we briefly talked about his tattoos and his desire to further pursue his rapping career. I had once considered a career in music myself but never had the courage to go for it, so I thought it was cool that he was really thinking about it. I also found it very endearing when he decided to join little Chloe, together with Sam and Melord, to ride the G-swing because she was begging them. Watching their video, I thought they were crazy for going on the ride, but you could see on his face how much fun he was having- he was full of life. I also remember a post he made on Instagram with pictures of us in Kabron (sadly this was now either deleted or archieved), the caption was something like, “My brother is the best.” I thought it was really sweet and could feel how much he looked up to his brother. During the time Zach was in Bali, my sister visited me there as well. When I saw that caption, I thought it must have been wonderful for Mitchell to know that his little brother admired him so much after sharing a glimpse of his life in Bali. I also know how much it meant to Mitchell that Zach came to visit and spent time with him, Shermaine, and got to know his friends in Bali.

His loss was sudden, he was so young.. and I can't imagine the pain his family is going through right now. But I hope Mitchell and his family find solace in knowing that Zach left a lasting impression on everyone he met. Wherever he is now, I hope he finds peace. His memory will live on through us and in the photos we have from August-semptember 2022.

Rest in love, Zach 🤍🕊️

2022, Bali, Indonesia

I had the privilege of getting to know Zach during what I believe was a bright chapter in his life – our time together in Bali. The connection between Zach and Mitchell spoke volumes about the love and history they shared. Watching them interact was like glimpsing into their childhood – two brothers finding comfort and joy in each other's presence.

Zach’s visit was so exciting for Mitchell, especially having him there in one of life's most precious moments – his proposal to Shermaine. Zach's support and presence added an irreplaceable layer of meaning to that beautiful occasion.

What struck me most about Zach was his ability to seamlessly integrate into any social setting. He arrived in Bali ready to embrace new experiences, forming his own circle of friends and embarking on adventures. Yet, he also blended effortlessly into our established group, his kind nature, sense of humor, and laid-back attitude making him an instant friend to us all.

In our conversations, Zach shared his aspirations with me – his passion for rapping and his hopes for the future. These moments of honesty revealed a young man with dreams, determined to carve his own path while deeply admiring the example set by his brother.

To Zach's family, especially Mitchell – your love and support were evident in the person Zach was. The comfort and strength you gave each other was beautiful to witness. May you find solace in the memories you shared and the knowledge that Zach's spirit lives on in the hearts of all who knew him.

"Like a wave on the shore, a life may recede, but its impact on the sand remains, shaping all that comes after."

Just as the waves of Bali's ocean shaped its beautiful beaches, Zach's presence has left an indelible mark on all of us. Though he may no longer be physically present, the impressions he made – the laughter shared, the friendships forged, the love given – continue to shape our lives and the world around us.

Rest in peace, Zach. You are deeply missed and forever loved.
