We are sorry for your loss. Our deepest heartfelt condolences. You are in our thoughts. Christmas will never be same again reading your Uncle Bill's News letter for the year. Visiting you in Elkhart was a joy and I will never forget all the places of interest you and Sisi Evie took me to. Oh waooo times flies quickly. Upon my return again to find you and Sisi in Chicago that's where I knew we were all growing up. You told me about how you missed your garden in Elkhart, again your conversation was very little due to health reasons. Uncle Bill you will be missed a lot. Your daughter Gifty says fare thee well.  You and Sisi Evie introduced her to live in Fanti land. She is now on pension but still leaves in Takoradi. We thank you very much for the love shown to all the Family Members.

Rest in Peace Bill

Our deepest sympathy to you all. We got to know Bill and Evie at FPC and lived in the same neighborhood. One year we spent Thanksgiving together at their house. Bill and Evie were always so gracious and welcoming. Rest in peace Bill

Dear Uncle Bill,   This world was a better place for me …many of us because you were here.

I remember our summer family vacation drives from Elkhart to Pittsburgh,  we would fuss about constant classical music in the car, but as an adult,  classical music is my happy place.  A place I feel safe, because of you Uncle Bill.  Because of the safety you provided me

I could go on and on,  but you never liked me to rumble on,  so this is a letter to let you know that you will never be forgotten,   That I am so grateful to have had you in my life.  That I love you.   Rest in peace

Dear Uncle Bill,

This may be the last letter I write to you. I stress the word "may" as I might need to pen a letter to you knowing that I will never post it because writing to you and getting your replies has been one of the greatest pleasures in life. My letters have always been addressed to Auntie Evie and Uncle Bill and the replies were also signed "from Auntie Evie and Uncle Bill", however we know you were the letter writer. Auntie Evie is the phone caller.

You and Auntie Evie have been an integral part of my life for 60 years. Even though we have always lived on different continents, that was never a barrier to you and Auntie Evie. You remembered our birthdays and there was always Christmas presents. When you came to work in Europe, you, Auntie Evie, Tina & Ed made the journey to the UK to spend time with the extended family. Again you came bearing gifts! You made the trip to the UK for my wedding and you & Auntie Evie were stars on the dance floor.

How I will miss your witty quips that were often in response to something said in Twi- you would even sometimes answer in Twi! That would surprise bystanders

You transitioned smoothly from snailsmail to email and kept the families informed with your comprehensive Annual Newsletters with several explanatory foot notes. I will miss those.

Christine who is also a family newsletter author, will write the family tribute to you but I wanted to write just one more letter to you.

Auntie Evie, a mighty oak has fallen but he lives on in Ed & Tina.

Uncle Bill, rest in peace

Emmeline

Our deepest condolences and our prayers are with you and your family.  I remember how your Dad would send us a summary of their adventures and challenges for the year.  He sent those letters for many years.  I looked forward to reading and staying connected to them.  It was such a pleasure and how thoughtful his actions were.  What a pleasant way to stay in touch and a pleasure to have known William.
