On September 3, 2022, at 8:15 p.m, Walt Russell heard the words "Well done, good and faithful servant ... Enter thou into the joy of your Lord." With that, Walt was joyfully welcomed into heaven, forever to live in the presence of the Lord.

Walt has taught, influenced, and mentored so many people over the years through the church and Talbot. His warm embrace, witty humor, and generosity will be missed.

Walt is survived by his wife of 49 years Marty Russell, his daughter Elizabeth and her husband Justin, his son Jonathan and his wife Noël, and his sister Susan Rogers.
