What a beautiful day and services.  The USN Submarine Vets did a wonderful job honoring Wally.  I’m sure he would have approved of everything.  He lived his life fully!  It was great seeing his family and friends!   Best wishes to each of you.
To all of Wally's family, I am truly sorry for your loss in the passing of Wally. I only knew him a few years but he was a great friend. He did love the Lord and cared deeply for his family even in tough times. May he rest in peace and may God give you peace even as you mourn. If you have placed your faith in Jesus Christ then you will see Wally again. The Apostle Paul tells us not to mourn as those who have no hope. We have that hope in Jesus. May all of Wally's loved ones have that peace.

Wally and I played alot of music over the years . For the last 7 or 8 years he came to our home for Thanksgiving and I would always get the guitar out and Wally would sing . We will miss his great smile and his awesome laugh. The people at the nail parlor said to give the family their condolences.  My wife took him there about every month to get his toenails clipped . Jan came to look at Wally as a father figure and we took him to church most Sundays. He usually told us the same stories every week but we didn't mind . We loved Wally and will miss him .

I got to know Wally through his wife, Brunie, a sweet friend and employee, who we lost way too soon to cancer.

I hope to find a few photos of the two of them to share with you and your family and friends.

Wally and I stayed in contact over the years, via email and our annual Christmas cards.  He has left a legacy we can all learn from — “Live each day like you were dying” like the words in Tim McGraw’s beautiful song.   Blessings to each of you celebrating your memories with Wally.
